March 14, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm CDT

$60.00

Please join us as we welcome Daniel Erspamer of the Pelican Institute for Public Policy and Brandon Trosclair, candidate for Louisiana Secretary of State.

Our Guests:

The Pelican Institute for Public Policy believes every person should have the opportunity to flourish. The Institute’s mission is to research and develop policy solutions to address the most significant barriers to opportunity in Louisiana. We educate the public about the benefits of individual liberty and free enterprise, turning great ideas into powerful policy solutions that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

Daniel Erspamer’s bio:

A nationally-recognized free-market leader, Daniel Erspamer has spent his career building and growing effective policy organizations around the country. Over the course of his career, he has mentored hundreds of nonprofit leaders, raised tens of millions of dollars for opportunity policy initiatives, and helped achieve meaningful policy wins across the nation.

Since being appointed Pelican Institute CEO in 2017, he has built a team and strategy to address Louisiana’s most substantial policy challenges and to create a Louisiana where everyone has the opportunity to flourish. Under Daniel’s leadership, the Institute has generated policy victories in the areas of education reform, criminal justice reform, state spending, innovation policy, occupational licensing, and more. For this work, in 2020 Daniel was recognized with a Buckley Award, given annually by America’s Future to recognize leaders making strides to advance freedom and prosperity.

Brandon Trosclair’s bio:

Brandon Trosclair is a successful businessman, conservative activist, and proven defender of individual liberty.  As the owner of Ralph’s, a 13-store grocery chain, Trosclair says, “Every day, I’m meeting face-to-face with my customers.  I understand their needs and concerns.  They respect that I’m not someone who is beholden to special interests.  I built my business by earning their trust and that’s how I’ll serve as Secretary of State.

A long-time grass-roots conservative leader, Trosclair is most prominently known for his successful legal challenge of the Biden Administration’s attempt to force employers to fire workers who chose not to be vaccinated against COVID-19.  “I’m always going to stand up for my workers and for citizens across this state.  My successful lawsuit against Joe Biden’s power grab wasn’t about vaccines, pro or con.  It was about defending an individual’s right to make their own medical decisions.  It was about standing up to the federal government’s attempted coercion of our lawful rights.  That’s the determination and uncompromising principle I promise to apply to overseeing our elections.
